From the Pit to the Penthouse

Expert Ally

Your Building. Your Budget. Our Independent Technical Oversight.

Bluff City Elevator Consulting was built in Memphis by people who have actually turned wrenches in hot machine rooms and muddy pits across West Tennessee and North Mississippi. After more than 15 years in the trade—working on everything from small commercial units to high-traffic hospital systems—we saw a recurring problem: building owners were forced to rely entirely on whatever their elevator company told them.

The Independent Voice You Need

Meet the Founder

Michael Stacks founded Bluff City after more than 15 years as a Memphis-based elevator mechanic, turning wrenches in the pits and machine rooms of the Mid-South. Having spent a career troubleshooting chronic shutdowns for hospitals and high-traffic commercial hubs, he knows exactly what happens when the maintenance doesn't match the contract.
After years of watching building owners struggle to bridge the gap between technical jargon and business reality, he realized they needed more than a mechanic—they needed an ally. He created Bluff City to be that missing link: a straight-talk expert who understands the technical intricacies of the hoistway and how they directly impact your bottom line.
